Claim - A statement that gives your opinion or answer.

Evidence - A quote or paraphrasing of the text that supports your claim.

Reasoning - An explanation as to how your evidence supports your claim.

Importance - A general statement as to why your answer matters.

 

Sentence prompts to be used:

Claim - In the book/text/poem/passage, "name of writing," by authors name, (your claim).

Evidence - In the text it states, "(your evidence)."

Reasoning - This shows/proves (your reasoning).

Importance - This is important because (your importance).
