Paragraph 1- Context: What background information about the book do we need to understand your text. Keep it relatively general and only focus on the characters/events that you will be writing about.
 
Paragraph 2- Analysis: Choose a piece of text from pages 272-303. Introduce the text by giving the context of what is happening at that precise moment of the story (NO "in the text it states..."!!!), give the quote and provide the citation. Analyze the piece of text in depth. It's not enough to summarize. You need to get to the underlying meaning or significance.
 
Paragraph 3- Interpretation: Why is this text important in the context of the book as a whole? You must make at least 1 connection to an earlier part of the text (cannot be from the same set of pages). You do not need to quote the other piece of text, but must specifically refer to it and fully explain the connection between the two pieces of text.
