The fundamental characteristics that describe wave behavior and properties are described in terms of mathematical relationships and graphical models. This course proceeds from the most concrete observations, those of physical properties of mechanical waves, to the most abstract concepts, by which students develop a model of electromagnetic waves.Our unit, Waves, is broken up into 3 investigations, with multiple parts and focus questions.This course supports the following principles set forth in A Framework for K-12 Science Education: Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Core Ideas.Science and Engineering Practices1.
