Spend 20 minutes per night reviewing vocab: Google Classroom Quizlet

 

STAR the words that you are not familiar with and quiz yourself separately. 

Reading Comprehension Passage A, B, and C due

Write a response to the following questions "Was the ending of To Kill a Mockingbird satisfying? Why or why not?" This should be approximately 1 page typed. You do not have to quote text, but you should refer to specific moments in the story. 

Read and annotate to the end of TKAMB (chapters 28,29, 30, and 31). Read carefully to understand what really happened. 

Read and annotate chapters 25, 26, and 27 in TKAMB. Think about the children's changing understanding of their town and its inhabitants. 

If you did not finish Mockingbird Assessment #2 in class or you want one more chance to look it over, you have until Saturday bedtime to complete that. We will start grading on Sunday morning. 

Informational text article and key idea graphic organizer due

Quarter 4 Book Talk #1 Due

Must be placed in shared folder to receive credit

Read and annotate chapters 23 and 24 in TKAMB

Read Chapters 20, 21, and 22 in TKAMB. Be prepared to write about the conclusion of the trial. 

Read and annotate chapters 18 and 19. Continue to look for the evidence that is presented at the trial. 

Read and annotate chapters 14 and 15 in TKAMB

Choose two articles to annotate. Complete TWO main idea/key detail graphic organizers. 

Read and annotate chapters 10 and 11 in TKAMB. 

 

If Chapter 9 written assessment is not complete, this is also due tomorrow. 

Read and annotate Chapter 9 in TKAMB. Be prepared to write about it tomorrow.

Watch Tragic Hero video. Be prepared to write. 

You were assigned 1 motif in your group today. For homework, you are finding evidence of this motif within the apparitions of Act IV of Macbeth. Make sure to have direct evidence and create a connection to a possible theme.  

Using the Sonnet you selected and annotated for the homework due 3/5:

1. Find an analysis of the sonnet

2. Write a 1 paragraph reflection comparing/contrasting how you interpreted the sonnet and how it was analyzed online. What areas do you think acted as barriers to your understanding of the poem? Was it language used? Literary and figurative techniques?

 

Select one of Shakespeare's 154 sonnets. 

Either on paper or google docs, do your best to try to annotate and analyze line by line to determine meaning. 

 

Identify a topic and theme you find to be evident.
