Having four siblings, 34 aunts and uncles, and 96 cousins, family is a big part of my life. Most of my family is back in Dixon, IL where I grew up, but since I have started teaching at Hawthorne, my family has grown even bigger. Sports and competition have also played a huge part in my life and taught me many valuable life lessons that I now pass on to students. In addition to passing on my competitive spirit, I get to share my enthusiasm for staying healthy and fit in the hopes that when they leave Hawthorne, they continue to keep their bodies healthy along with their minds.
If I had one superpower, I would have the power to teleport. Not only would I save so much time traveling from place to place, but I would be able to see the world. How cool would it be to blink your eyes and be in Egypt looking at the pyramids!
If I could have dinner with one historical figure it would be Benjamin Franklin. I would love to talk with him about where he sees the U.S. going in the future. Show and speak with him about how different things are today than back then and discuss the pros and cons. I would also like to talk with him about his philosophies.
I would rather speak all of the languages on Earth, because then when I travel to a different country I can get to know the culture better. Plus, I’m not sure how deep of a conversation I would be able to have with an animal.
