Hello!!What a wonderful first day! The students did a great job listening and organizing their desk. A couple need bigger book covers but that seemed to be our only "crisis" in our day. Please have all supplies (including your special item) in school by Friday. Below you will find copies of letters sent home today. Many of you sent in the $50 classroom fee so please ignore the request. I didn't have a chance to do any bookkeeping during the day so the letter went home with all the kids. Hopefully, the tidbits will assist us getting through the next few hectic days.Again if all the days go as well as today, we're in for a fabulous year. A special welcome to Grant Isom and Brandon Jenkins. They are new to Hawthorne. Keep an eye out for the boys and their families on the playground or at the Family Fun Fest. We'll be personalizing our writer's notebooks this week so please have supplies in school by Thursday. If your child is missing school due to the Jewish holidays, not to worry. We'll get the personalizing done between school and home. Friday is our Word Parade.... start those creative juices!! I can't wait to see the vocabulary words come to life!
